After hearing Mark Klett speak at my university I was inspired to make a trip to my favorite wilderness area near town, the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Preserve, and work on my technical skills. I have been to this place a good number of times and noticed myself focusing on the details of the area more than previous trips. To say the least, there was a lot to notice. I spent a night and a day tromping around the area. It was nice and peaceful and gave me a good chunk of solitude in the middle of an already busy semester.
